GOLF COURSE PHOTOGRAPHER
I am golf course photographer and visual storyteller specializing in high-end imagery for golf courses, clubs, resorts, and golf management companies. As the founder of Focus Fairways Media Group, I combine a deep understanding of the game with a refined creative eye to capture courses as they are meant to be experienced.
My photography career began as a freelancer for Stonehouse Publishing, honing my craft under the mentorship of renowned photographer Pat Drickey. Pat’s guidance was instrumental in developing my skills, particularly in creating compelling panoramic images. I became a PGA TOUR Licensee, photographing TPC properties and courses featured on the PGA TOUR. This early experience set the stage for a partnership with Gary Player Design, which emerged after an insightful conversation with a representative during one of my first projects. This collaboration led to traveling globally, photographing some of the world’s most prestigious golf courses. Over the years, the portfolio has grown to encompass a wide spectrum of golf properties ranging from world-renowned championship venues that have hosted the game’s greatest moments to quiet, under-the-radar gems cherished by their local communities. Each project is approached with the same dedication to capturing the course’s individuality, whether it’s the drama of a windswept coastal layout, the precision of a parkland design, or the charm of a municipal course that has served generations of players. For me, the most rewarding part of this work is the opportunity to be a small part of a club’s history and to connect with the people who bring each course to life - whether members, guests, or golf professionals.
My work goes beyond documenting landscapes. By combining dramatic aerial shots with expertly framed ground-level imagery, my photography highlights course architecture, conditioning, amenities, and atmosphere in a way that feels authentic to the golfer’s experience, creating imagery that supports both brand storytelling and business objectives. Every course carries its own story, shaped by the people who design, maintain, and play it. There’s a special satisfaction in being part of that story, whether it’s documenting a new renovation that revitalizes a historic club, capturing the spirit of a club for a member-guest tournament gift, or highlighting the beauty of a course that has long been a local treasure. Meeting the superintendents who care for every blade of grass, the professionals who welcome players each day, and the members who treat the course as their second home adds a layer of meaning to every project. In many ways, the photographs become more than just images; they serve as lasting pieces of a club’s identity and history.
With a background and experience as a golf professional, I bring an insider’s perspective to every project. Understanding the business side of the game has made it possible to build lasting partnerships with clubs and organizations, based on mutual respect and a shared passion for golf. Clients are never just customers, they’re collaborators in telling the story of their course. My collaborative approach emphasizes authenticity and long-term value, positioning myself as a trusted extension of each client’s team rather than simply a service provider. Today, the focus remains on adapting to the evolving needs of the golf industry while staying true to a lifelong love of the game. Each project is approached as both an artist and a student of golf, constantly learning, refining, and striving to capture the essence of every course in its best light. Through Focus Fairways Media Group, I continue to help golf properties strengthen their visual identity, tell their story, and stand out in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
